How to buy Art Photography

Before you come to see me at an art show, or before you connect with me by email, take a quick cell shot of the wall(s) you want to fill, and write down the size of the space(s). You can take a few shots to get the whole room; it gives me an idea of your taste and colour scheme. I produce a lot of work every year; not everything gets printed, but I may be able to suggest a piece I think would work for you.

Are you looking for a statement piece? Did you want some little accent pieces grouped together to draw attention to a sweet little corner arrangement? Over a couch? Over the mantle? Size matters!

Not sure what size works best? Cut out a piece of kraft paper or use some painter’s tape in the size you think you want there, and tape it up on the wall. Live with it a few days to see if you like it. Walls are funny; they can usually handle a larger size than you think!

What substrate (surface) works best for your place? Do you like it to feel like a painted canvas? Do you love that 3D feeling you get from an image on brushed aluminum? Do you prefer the classic look of a matted print in a gallery frame? (Just remember: if there’s a big light shining on it, we’ll want to stay away from glass, or a high gloss finish.)

I produce my work so you can take it home and enjoy it immediately. From my wall to your wall, I sell finished art products, ready to hang. All you have to do is take it home and start loving it.

Photography & “Print on Demand”

There are a lot less shows now (another effect of the pandemic), so I am maintaining a smaller inventory, taking more orders “on demand”. The great thing about that is that you can choose ANY image from my website (or Instagram/Facebook), AND you can have it printed to size YOU need! It only take about 2 weeks from the time you order. And since I love any excuse to get away from my computer, I will often deliver it personally, up to about 90 minutes away from Toronto.

Note: Canadian orders can be ready in about 2 weeks, and I sign and number those personally. US orders usually take up to 4 weeks. They will be fulfilled with an embedded signature. A deposit will be required at the time of order.

Limited Editions: A reminder that I only produce limited edition artworks; editions are limited to a maximum of 20, plus 2 artist copies.

Payment Plans: A quick note, because sometimes life works this way: Have you found THE perfect piece, but the timing doesn’t match your budget? Ask me about payment plans; let’s see if we can find a way to make this work for both of us.

Let’s get started bringing your chosen piece into its new home!

OF course, if I have something in stock, you’re welcome to pop by my Toronto home studio for a preview.
